Two years ago when I got my Reiki certification, my teacher explained a number of principles of energy healing to me.
“First of all,” she said, “you do not do the healing. The healing comes through you. You are not the source, but the channel.”
“And as such, you do not get drained of energy when you do Reiki, on the contrary, when the energy flows through you, 20% of it remains with you.”
When I’ve given Reiki healing sessions to others, they sometimes express concern that I will get tired during the session, and I tell them it’s the reverse, that I get rewarded with an extra boost of energy by serving as the energy channel.
It’s how life works in general I believe, and when you understand that money is currency and currency is energy — we are all channels for it to flow through us.
Bob Proctor says it so beautifully in this interview with Sean Croxton, “I know what money is,” he says, “money is a reward for services rendered. The more you serve, the more money you will make.”
And my mentor LaRue Eppler said it this way: “When you help others get what they want, you will also get what you want.”
When you serve others, you will also be served.
This week in the Creative Impact Studio, I’ll be featuring guest expert Evelyn Simpson, a former investment banker, angel investor and executive coach.
Evelyn is going to talk about how you can use money as a tool to transform your business.
If you are interested in participating in the session with Evelyn live, join the Creative Impact Studio (it’s free!).
One of the things Evelyn will be sharing with you is what money costs.
Some people might think this is a bad thing — giving away equity shares, paying interest on a loan, paying out referral fees or commissions — but it’s like the 20% of energy that remains with the Reiki practitioner — the channel for the energy is rewarded for services rendered.
If you are charging for your products or services, honor yourself for how you are serving and graciously receive money as your reward.
And when you pay others for their products or services, give thanks for how they have served you.
If you are a woman leading a company, team or movement that improves the way we live, you are invited to join the Creative Impact Studio — an exclusive community of women leaders.
You will be able to join this week’s live community event with Evelyn Simpson as well as access to all past events available in the Resource Library.
Membership to the community is free, but it is available by invitation only. Get your personal invitation here
